On the Downs a pair of Bullfinch, 6 Greenfinch, 3 Chaffinch, 1 Green Woodpecker, 3 Brambling over, 1 pair of Mistle Thrush, 2 Skylark over, 2 Yellowhammer in song, 1 Great Spotted Woodpecker drumming.   • 3rd - Wandle Park: Male Stonechat, 2 Grey Wagtail, 1 Snipe, c50 Redwing, c20 Fieldfare and c100 Starlings.(J&CB) 1 Lapwing flew off towards Waddon Ponds; also 1 Nuthatch calling, 1 Mistle Thrush. One of the Starlings present had a white feather in the left hand side of its tail - it will be interesting to see if this bird reappears anywhere else locally. (AJP)
