  • 23rd - Riddlesdown: 17:10 all quiet behind Atwood School apart from about 25 Magpies and a few Crows roosting and then 250+ Jackdaws arrived to roost bringing a cacophony of sound with them! Nothing like to 2000+ over Beddington SF going to roost on Mitcham Common, but still memorable. (JB)

  • 20th - Central Croydon: around 20 Pied Wagtails shortly after midnight this morning, roosting in the two trees either side of the telephone boxes near Debenhams. (Ashley Haworth-Roberts)
  • 19th - Hutchinsons Bank: 5 Common Buzzards circling together high overhead soon after noon, calling occasionally. After a few minutes, the whole group drifted off southeast. 10 minutes later three individuals (presumably part of initial group) drifted overhead again and disappeared to the northwest.
