• 19th - Croydon: Big Day 04:00 - 19:00. Two of us went round many sites in Croydon for our sponsored birdwatch on behalf of the RSPB. After 15 hours in the field we recorded 69 species within the borough. Highlights included Peregrine, Red Kite (over Farthing Downs at 10:56), 2 Buzzards, a Sparrowhawk carrying food, Marsh Tit, Meadow Pipit (again with food), Skylark, Black Redstart, a pair of Mandarin with a duckling, Cetti's Warbler, Reed Warbler, Lesser Whitethroat, Reed Bunting and Yellowhammer.
